The village of Boquerón, located on the Boquerón Bay is one of the main tourist attractions in the southwestern part of the island.
We arrived in Boqueron and we could hear the music from the anchorage. We went to shore and what a lively place! Lots of colorful restaurants, bars, food trucks and stands all playing music as loud as they could 😆…and lots of people too, such a fun weekend!…and to our surprise it continued during the week too.
We walked the town, the beach and went nuts over coconuts.
The next time we heard the music, we jumped in the dinghy and in no time we were all dancing to Cuban music.
We planned the route and waited for a favorable weather window to cross the Mona passage towards Samaná in the Dominican Republic.
Cheers 🥂
