How are we preparing for our journey?

Some of our studies

Hector and I took courses with the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron. Hector became an instructor with the Port Credit Squadron, a great way to keep the knowledge fresh, meet new people and learn from them too.

Reading books of cruisers that have circumnavigated before us. We also follow different blogs of couples and families currently cruising. We picture ourselves there wherever they are… and this keeps the dream alive!

Celestial Navigator

We do sail every weekend (weather permitting) and practice a combination of  maneuvers like heave-to, reefing, mob, anchoring and always taking turns with the ropes, helm, sails and getting to know our strengths and likes performing each one. It’s very important to us that each one is able to handle Intuition V on their own if we need to.
