What to do throughout those long winter months?…

Yeah…this is a tough question…

We can’t wait for summer. We get energized thinking about the sailing and some maneuver we want to practice, places we want to sail/explore, and of course the upgrades and projects we still have to finish.

Boat Show

We also volunteer with the CPS during the Toronto Boat Show. This is an excellent distraction and a great place to do some shopping.

There are some jobs/projects that we can always do at home, like splicing, sewing, and when the weather gets warm even varnishing and working with epoxies.

Teaching Seamanship

In the meantime Hector is teaching Seamanship with the CPS, and that keeps him busy and his knowledge current.

I am sewing another piece of our bimini top, covers for the winches and doing some adjusting to our sail pack. I’ll also be sewing some bed sheets for our V-berth and other small projects to stay occupied…and that’s how we survive winter while Intuition is all cover up on the hard.
